Pic 'N' Mix Story Cards Review

I was recently given the opportunity to review some story cards from pic 'n' mix pictures.  who are pic 'n' mix pictures I hear you say well I will fill you in, they are a young couple who have a background in nursery nursing and graphic design, when they had their first child they tried to make some personalized books and games for him to explore and learn threw play, they wanted to expand these to other families like theirs and now have their website picnmixpictures.co.uk where you can view and purchase their products.

We were sent a pack of the standard story cards which contained 26 cards plus instruction card.  (You can also have them personalized)
Standard story cards,A great tool in beginning to establish story telling and imaginative skills.Using these cards with simple and clear designs, children use their language and imaginations to bring the stories to life.

They arrived on a Saturday so perfect timing and the girls ( 3 and 4) wanted to play with them right away and they had great fun making up stories to which we had to applaud every one after they had said they end, they were both trying to make each other laugh when they got the ghost card and wooooooing at each other they even got there big sister whos 15 to join in and play.  It was nice to see them having so much fun together with not a t.v or computer in site.  They still enjoy playing with them now and I am sure the fun is going to continue for a long time with these.

Now for my verdict on first impression I thought the cards were bright, well designed and with a nice variety of pictures only downside I thought was that there wasn't any pictures of people.  The cards are a great size for little hands to hold, not too big or too small.  Very simple to play and easy for little ones to understand, even if they don't have any siblings to play with parents can play and they will have just as much fun.  Great to get their minds and imaginations working in an age where everything is focused on technology I feel there isn't enough of these kinds of things around anymore for children to play with.  I think they are reasonably priced and definitely good value for money, a good buy for your own child or as a present for your grand child, niece, nephew or any other young child you are looking to buy a present for.  They have been a big hit here with us and I will be recommending them to my friends and family.
